StorVal is an innovative self storage valuation tool that is a first to the Australian market. Use the prompts to answer commonly asked questions.

Yes. StorVal was created by a highly regarded and experienced self storage valuer, specifically for the valuation of going concern self storage facilities. The software is continually supported and monitored by a team of qualified and experienced valuers. The tool uses a range of algorithms, parameters and complex formulas to ‘think’ like a valuer and produce an estimated value. Any inconsistencies automatically prompt a desktop review by an experienced valuer. The tool highlights any assessments that require review on the dashboard so that the accuracy of the results can be trusted. Note, non-verified valuations can only be adopted as estimates.

Given the subjective nature of valuations, users should expect a +-10% variance with each desktop valuation produced by StorVal.

Desktop valuations are not considered to be formal valuations in accordance with the International Valuation Standards (IVS). A full and physical inspection undertaken by a qualified valuer is required for the valuation to be in line with the International Valuation Standards.

The valuations are conducted on a desktop basis, initially as automated estimates, and desktop verified by professional valuers when requested. Depending on your valuation requirements, you can progress your StorVal desktop valuation into a full formal valuation which can be relied upon in accordance with the International Valuation Standards (IVS) as adopted by the Australian Property Institute, Property Institute of New Zealand and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Yes, Storval uses secure API’s to directly feed revenue data into the calculation matrix within Storval’s databases. StorVal enters into a Confidentiality Agreement with you upon sign up to protect your sensitive trading data whilst allowing us to verify the desktop valuation as required.

Our backend systems securely store all your data within ISO 27001 certified Tier 3 & Tier 4 data centres. We utilise state-of-the-art secure development techniques and advanced security technologies to ensure the security of your data. The Confidentiality, Availability, and Integrity (CIA) of your data is our highest priority.

Yes, Storval has the ability to include additional areas within the valuation so that your full asset value is recognised. We recommend requesting a valuer verification each time you add a surplus area, or externally leased tenancy, to ensure that the details are inputted in the correct manner, even if StorVal does not prompt the review.
